Rewards and Recognition In 2008, we were awarded with the Award of the Agricultural Innovation by the introduction of wheat varieties resistant to herbicides from the Imidazolinonas. In addition, we have contributed significantly to the national agriculture with the introduction of Lupin Albus, Lupine Luteos, Lupine Angustifolio and Raps Canola oil.

Impact on National Agriculture Since 1978, we have worked on the introduction of lupin as a grain crop, offering a profitable alternative for the agriculture of the Mapuche peasantry. We develop wheat varieties for specific uses such as biscuits, bakers and candlesticks, validated from Curicó to Aysén: Lupino: Profitable and sustainable alternative and Specific Wheat: Varieties for biscuits, bakers and candlesticks.

Innovations in Plant Breeding

Our company has achieved significant milestones, such as obtaining an alkaloid-free cultivar of Lupinus Mutabilis in 1986, and the launch of the Otto wheat variety in 1993, consolidated as the most important in southern Chile, raising both the yield and the industrial quality of wheats.

Genebank We have a bank of germplasm in situ and ex situ conservation of various species, crucial for the national agriculture. This bank also helps to protect the genetic heritage of Chile, while ensuring the sustainability and biodiversity.

Pioneers in the Introduction of Hybrid Raps we Were pioneers in the evaluation and introduction of hybrid raps from homes seed foreign, mainly of material of German origin. These hybrids, more productive and better tolerance to diseases and good oil content, have allowed the development of the crop in the south of Chile.
