Campex Baer has a division dedicated to the production of counter-season crops (Winternursery) for seed companies in the northern hemisphere, mainly in North America and Europe. The species with which this intermultiplication is performed corresponds to canola, peas, beans, flaxseed, quinoa, barley, wheat, oats, durum wheat, soybeans, among others.
We offer the service of two harvests per year, allowing to accelerate the process of development of new generations, their homogeneity and quality, ensuring a faster entry to the market.

Laboratory Campex Baer has the following services

A) Seed Laboratory
The laboratory provides analysis services for associated companies or external clients.
Summary of accredited Analytical Methodologies used in the Seeds Laboratory.
-Physical physicality in Seeds
-Determination of Other species in numbers
-Feed Seeds
All these analyzes according to ISTA Standards (International Rules for seed testing).

B) Chemical / Industrial Laboratory
CAMPEX BAER LABORATORY is a unit of the company aimed at giving technical-analytical support to the research, development, production and marketing activities of the company. In addition, tests are not incorporated within the scope of accreditation, in accordance with Chilean Standards and resolutions delivered by the SAG such as: weight thousand grains, weight Hectoliter, mesh, Iodine test, saponin test, UV lamp test, reception analysis (Moisture, inert matter, bitter grains, split grains), NIT (Gluten + Moisture + sedimentation + Protein). These analyzes are carried out at the request of third parties or internal quality controls of the company.

C) Research services
Campex Baer has two experimental Fields, one of them located in Cajón and the other in Gorbea. These correspond to experimental centers authorized by the SAG and for MERCOSUR, in which trials are carried out for the development and validation of agrochemicals.

BREEDING

Plant breeding in different crops mainly in Lupine, wheat and oats for Chilean conditions.
The chief geneticist is Don Erik von Baer, who works with the collaboration of his technical team where his daughter Ingrid von Baer stands out.
Launch of wheat varieties specially adapted to Chilean conditions
- Tolerance to acid soils and high concentration of Aluminum
- Tolerant to diseases and low use of agrochemicals
They have launched 25 varieties of wheat, 4 of oats, 6 of lupine, 3 of triticale, 3 of barley, 1 quinoa.
2008 Agricultural Innovation Prize for the introduction of wheat varieties with resistance to the Imidazolinone group of herbicides.
Contribution to the national agriculture with the introduction of the Lupinos Albus, lupino luteos, lupino angustifolio and Canola raps to Chile.
Contribution with the introduction of wheats winter durum wheat.
Introduces Lupino in 1978 as a grain crop, as a profitable alternative for Mapuche Campesino Agriculture.
Development of wheat varieties for specific use as biscuit, baker and durum wheat, being validated from Curicó to Aysén.
Massive introduction of Lupino and development of new cultivars. It stands out in 1986 the unique obtaining of Cultivar Free of Alcaloides of Lupinus Mutabilis, that is characterized by its high content of oil and Protein, whose origin is the Andean area. Previously only sweet forms had been obtained in the Old World (Sengbusch 1928-1930)
