HISTORY

Company Erik von Baer von Lochow was founded in 1956 and in 2016 it takes the name of CAMPEX BAER LIMITADA, dedicating itself to applied agricultural research. Its main activity is research, development, genetic improvement and seed production through direct production, connecting research and development with production.
Since its inception it has been involved in plant breeding and seed production, contributing greatly to the agricultural development of Chile.
Thanks to the development of own varieties and the introduction of foreign varieties, it has been possible to maintain leading positions in crops such as wheat, oats, lupine, rape, quinoa, among others.
Like the pioneers in WINTERNURSERY or multiplication of counter season, we offer the service of two harvests per year for seed companies of the northern hemisphere. This process accelerates the development of new generations, their homogeneity and quality, ensuring a faster entry to the market. Our experience through several decades supports our results.
For many years, trials have been carried out to support companies in the development and testing of new fertilizers and agrochemicals adapted to the conditions of our country.
CAMPEX BAER LIMITADA LABORATORY is a unit of the company dedicated to give technical-analytical support to the research, development, production and marketing activities of the company. At the same time, the laboratory provides analysis services for associated companies or external clients.

For this, the company owns its own properties, located in Perquenco, Gorbea and Cajón. In El Hualle Farm, in Cajón, is the company's headquarters, which has commercial offices and laboratories for the analysis of seed, chemistry, genetics and microbiology.
